Sommer and Kurt tied the knot on the 21st of May 2016 at the stunning Bel Air Broadbeach. You may remember Sommer’s boudoir session that she did a few months ago, and she got a beautiful album to give to Kurt the night before their big day. Well, he loved it, and we’re not surprised!
Sommer had her hair beautifully curled by Brodie-Lee from Rokstar Salonz, and her flawless makeup by Nicole from She Styln. The gorgeous bouquets were handmade by the bride herself, and didn’t she do the best job! Sommer’s gown was by Carniel Vanden Bergh and had a sweetheart neckline and the most beautiful lace bodice and halterneck, and the bridesmaids wore backless figure hugging dusty pink dresses.
Kurt and the boys wore matching tan dress pants, vests, ties, shoes and sunnies, and Kurt got a snazzy new watch from Sommer for the wedding day. Kurt also wore a special pair of socks that were also a gift from Sommer, and they said “I’m so glad you walked into my life”. Awww, right?? Kurt and Sommer’s little son Kyden also got dressed up in a darling little suit with grey pants and a matching vest.
Sommer and Kurt had decided that they wanted to do a First Look before walking down the aisle. Kurt came to Sommer’s penthouse apartment and saw her for the first time standing on the beautiful staircase, and it was a beautiful moment between the two! Sommer had a big smile on her face when she saw her man all dressed up, and of course Kurt couldn’t take his eyes off his bride!
After the First Look, we took advantage of the stunning penthouse apartment and took some photos of the bridal party and the soon-to-be newlywed couple. Then we limoed off to the Gold Coast Botanic Gardens, where we had a gorgeous sunny day and we took more photos of the good looking crew!
Back at the Bel Air, the ceremony was set up by All About Venues, the guests were ready to catch a glimpse of the blushing bride, and finally Sommer walked down the aisle with her father. The fact that Kurt had already had the pleasure of seeing Sommer for hours before this moment didn’t take away from the magic, and he looked just as in love as if he were seeing her for the first time. Pat Slee performed a lovely and personal ceremony, and Kyden attentively watched his parents say their vows!
After the ceremony, congratulations and family group photos, we headed off to the reception at the Miami Beach Surf Club, where the place was decorated beautifully with a lot of DIY things that Sommer had done herself. The table centrepieces, the wishing well and the signage were all hand made by the couple, which makes it so much more personal!
The amazing cake pops, macarons and biscuits at the lolly buffet were made by Delicious by Sara, and the wedding cake was by Sweet Melissa’s Cakes & Cupcakes on the Gold Coast. Kurt and Sommer had organised a roast buffet with delicious hearty food by JR’s Smokehouse BBQ. They also had a photobooth provided by Photoillustrated, and the bridal party as well as the guests had a great time with this!
Sommer and Kurt’s wedding was a perfect mix of luxury and personality, and we wish them all the best for the future!
