Megan and Dustin tied the knot at the gorgeous island of Tangalooma in Moreton Bay last year! The couple lives in Canada, Megan’s home country, but they decided to invite all their friends and family to tropical Queensland, where Dustin grew up, for their wedding.
Megan and Dustin wanted a relaxed beach wedding that represented their laidback and fun personalities! Megan wore a lovely A-line dress with a train and a diamond belt around the waist that she brought with her all the way from Canada, white flat shoes, and she had a brightly coloured big bouquet of fresh flowers. Her bridesmaid, Megan’s pregnant sister, wore a long strapless purple gown, and they had 3 little flowergirls who wore lacy white dresses with purple sashes and their own little bouquets. They also had two adorable little pageboys that walked down the aisle! Dustin and his groomsman wore grey suits with matching vests and purple ties, succulent boutonnieres, and matching black thongs appropriate for a beach wedding!
The ceremony was short and sweet with a few unique elements such as a literal tying of the knot, and after they walked back up the aisle hand in hand they popped bottles of champagne to share with all their guests before we headed off for photos around the island!
We went for a walk along the beach, the loved up couple had a lot of fun and their small bridal party made it casual and laidback! We got some photos on the famous pier, and the sunset was absolutely beautiful!
After the new Mr and Mrs entered the reception, there were speeches, an interesting blend of cultures with Dustin’s family being from Fiji, lots of food, slideshows, video messages from people who couldn’t make it from Canada, and then dancing!
