Let me talk to you about what I LOVE about boudoir photography!

Every week I have the privilege of working with people from all walks of life. Everyone’s story is different, and everyone has a different reason for finally doing a boudoir shoot.

I salute you!

You, who are booking in for a photo shoot as a gift for your partner on your wedding day or anniversary, who are not doing it for yourself and are desperately hoping that it won’t be as nerve wracking as you fear. You, who have lost a quarter of your body weight and have been too afraid to get into lingerie for years while you felt trapped in your own body. You, who have had one, two, three or however many kids and feel like you have lost yourself to motherhood and can’t imagine ever feeling sexy again. You, who spend all your time just getting by, working two jobs, looking after your sick grandmother or going to marriage counselling, and have no time for looking after yourself. You, who are a new mum with a newborn who takes up all your energy, who are struggling with breastfeeding or postnatal depression and just need one day to yourself to catch a breath. You, who have battled eating disorders or have body dysmorphia and is still fighting the mirror every single day. You, who have gone through the heart wrenching loss of a baby still in the womb without the knowledge of whether or not you will ever get to hold your own son or daughter in your arms. You, who have been wanting to feel beautiful and confident in your own skin for years but have been too scared to get out of your comfort zone.

Whatever your circumstances, I admire you for taking this huge step towards uncovering your beauty. And you know what? You DESERVE to feel amazing. Your really really do.

I love how brave these women are to come to my studio and getting completely out of their comfort zone. It’s very natural to feel nervous about doing something like this; you’re baring it all and sharing your vulnerability while putting all your trust into this experience and what it can do for you. I have enormous respect and appreciation for the fact that these amazing ladies trust me to make them feel comfortable with the idea of doing a shoot like this, that they trust me to pose them and direct them in a way that I know will flatter them according to my years of experience, and that they trust me enough to truly believe that they will love the results – and they do! I want every single woman who walks into my studio to feel empowered and confident and to see the real beauty that they possess.

And THAT is why I love what I do so much!
