Garden Engagement Photos Brisbane

Mercedes and Kim are both from the Philippines and are getting married in their home country after being engaged for several years. Before the last planning for the wedding takes place, they wanted some lovely engagement photos, and we went to the Gold Coast Botanic Gardens for an afternoon session. Even though it gets dark fairly early at this time of year, the gardens were gorgeous and colourful, and Mercedes and Kim had some special requests for some poses that they liked as well as that late afternoon sun haze of which they had shown me inspiration pictures beforehand. They were a fun couple, but they asked me to give them full directions because they were not the most comfortable people in front of a camera. Of course I gladly take the reins when it comes to posing people if they ask me to direct them 100%, and usually the more natural and casual poses end up being their favourites. That’s why taking a relaxed approach and focusing on having fun is usually the best recipe for a successful couple shoot!
