Kellie and Gary got married at the gorgeous Kholo Gardens in Ipswich on 9th July 2016!
Kellie got ready at Walloon with her bridesmaids and family, and she was one of the most relaxed brides we’ve ever met! Her wedding gown was a stunning A-line with a full lace overlay and a classic cowl neckline, and her flowers were a long stemmed bouquet of bright coloured fresh flowers. The bridesmaids wore navy blue knee length dresses with lace and nude heels.
Gary wore a light grey suit with a blue tie and a fresh flower boutonniere, and his groomsmen wore black suits with matching blue ties.
The ceremony was set up with a beautiful vintage theme with old style suitcases, jars, lace, wood and hessian as decorations. It was a Christian ceremony performed by a pastor that had known both Kellie and Gary for a long time through their church, and it make it a very personal and appropriate ceremony.
After the ceremony we took the bridal party away for photos around the venue, and with so many beautiful backdrops we were spoilt for choice!
The reception was a casual afternoon picnic set up in one of the grassy barbecue areas in the Gardens, and Kellie’s nearest and dearest and Gary’s massive Samoan family put on a huge buffet style feast with all kinds of salads, meats, even a roast pig! Their cake was a never ending tiered creation with blue icing, yellow flowers and a custom made topper that was divided and gifted to family members by Samoan tradition. There was a Cook Island music and dance group performing and entertaining the guests, and Kellie and Gary as well as their parents even got up to attempt the traditional dancing! Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the laidback atmosphere.
We wish Kellie and Gary all the best for the future!
