Ms Kirsten came into the studio to try out our new wall sized mirror, and I was so excited about the photos that we captured! I was especially inspired while editing these photos because Kirsten graciously signed a model release allowing me to share her images to show an example of my work. That’s not unusual, of course, many clients are happy to share their images. However, normally when I do boudoir sessions, my clients often have special requests for editing, and I have no problems with that. I love that people know what they want and like, and I *never* do excessive editing anyway. That’s just not my thing. However, with this session, Kirsten let me present her images exactly how I wanted. So because I could, I did absolutely *minimal* editing on her photos, and WOW!! 
I was honestly a bit emotional when I was working on this session, partly because Ms K reminds me a little bit of myself, but also because I was beyond ecstatic to be able to show a REAL example of what a REAL person looks like, without the filtered social media goggles and the expectations of unrealistic perfection.
So I want you to go through these photos and really notice all the beautiful things about this STUNNING woman!
This is a mum, with a body who has grown, carried and given birth to babies. Look at her beautiful freckles that I was allowed to leave in the photos! Look at her amazing ginger hair that has no doubt been the topic of many conversations both good and bad (because I’ve been there) which she proudly displays in the coolest dreadlocks! Look at her curves and how I didn’t want to change a single thing about her shape, because she is a freakin’ fire goddess!
Every time I shoot and edit a session, I gain more and more appreciation of the human body and the beauty in all the little things that society has groomed us to think of as “flawed”. I want us all to EMBRACE our “flaws”; SHOW OFF those stretchmarks that your body created as a memory of growing your children, LOVE the cellulite on your thighs because it’s SO natural, and APPRECIATE your unique curves because they make you YOU! No apologies! YOU are BEAUTIFUL! ?
