Maternity Photography Gold Coast

Brooke and Alana are twin sisters with more than just the same DNA tying them together. They are pregnant at the same time with their first borns, with only 6 days separating their due dates!

We were lucky enough to photograph Alana and Torren’s wedding a few years ago, which is how we first met Alana and Brooke and their lovely family. A couple of years later, we were invited to photograph Brooke and Beau’s wedding in Norfolk Island, and it was another magical day with the girls and their partners and their beautiful families!

Most twins undoubtedly have an extremely special bond, and Alana and Brooke have always been best friends through thick and thin. Obviously they were each other’s maid of honour at each other’s wedding, and they have worked together at the same childcare centre for years – but who would have guessed that they would fall pregnant at the same time too, let alone less than a week apart!

The twins have expressed how amazing it has been to go through their pregnancies together, and how blessed they feel to be able to experience everything at the same time.

It came as no surprise that they wanted to do their maternity session together too, so we ventured out to my favourite fertile green scenery for this very special double maternity shoot with Alana and Torren and Brooke and Beau. The girls wore the colours that symbolised the gender of their bubs for the first set, as well as white maternity gowns to show off their baby bellies. When they weren’t matching, they were complementing each other perfectly with their outfits, and the way that they look at each other in these photos tells a thousand words of connection, love, sisterhood and togetherness.

Edited to update: Shortly after this session, Brooke gave birth to her perfect little boy Cohen, who was eager to see the world a couple of weeks early. 11 days after the arrival of Brooke and Beau’s beautiful son, Alana and Torren welcomed their precious little daughter Emmersyn Eve. We congratulate them all on their gorgeous little ones, including the proud grandparents who will have their hands extremely full (Alana and Brooke’s brother Trent is also becoming a father in the next few months)!
