Tippy and Cherie got married at the beautiful Jondaryan Woolshed on the 9th September 2017!
I had caught up with the girls a few months earlier for their engagement session, and I knew they were a fun and relaxed couple with a lot of love for each other!
When I saw them again on the day, they were surprisingly nervous, but mostly about all the people who were waiting for them at the ceremony and being the centre of attention.
Tippy and Cherie both got ready at the venue, in separate but adjoining rooms. Tippy wore a lacy feminine gown with a train and wide straps plunging into a subtle V-neck, and Cherie wore a classic strapless A-line dress with lace and beading, a blingy belt around the waist and a train. They both wore matching flowers in their hair, and they looked absolutely stunning! They saw each other for the first time just before the horse and carriage came to whisk them away for the ceremony, and they shared a quiet moment together for the last time before becoming wife and wife.
The bridal party arrived at the ceremony in style, and after a last nervous jitter in the carriage before the big moment, the girls walked down the aisle together in front of all their loved ones. And what a turnout it was! It was obvious that Cherie and Tippy had a lot of people in their lives who loved them a whole lot, and the atmosphere at the ceremony was full of honest joy and happiness for the pair!
After exchanging vows and sharing some cute and funny stories at the ceremony, we went away for photos with the bridal party. In true Tippy and Cherie style, it was an hour of fun and silliness, but also with plenty of loving smiles, nuzzles and kisses that emanated their happiness and love for each other.
At the reception the couple again entered in style, and the hours were filled with delicious food, a hilarious cake cutting that had the girls roaring, the most heartfelt speeches from their families and bridal party, and a first dance that segued into inviting the rest of the bridal party with their partners onto the dance floor as well as their parents.
This wedding was one of the loveliest ones I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing, simply because of the abundance of love, joy and acceptance that flowed between the girls and their families and friends!
Tippy and Cherie honeymooned in New Zealand after their wedding where they could sign all the legal documentation that was not available in Australia at the time.
We wish Tippy and Cherie all the happiness and joy for their future!
